Thank you for your support over the last week, we are very grateful!

Just to let you know we have had to put up the price of a couple of options on the menu because when we wrote it (very hurriedly after first government announcement regarding people avoiding pubs) we hadn’t actually costed out the ingredients or factored in petrol and packaging. My apologies!

 

All food is served cooked and ready to be re-heated at home apart from the pie (where the filling is cooked but the pastry is not. This just needs popping in an oven until pastry is golden.) This is following  E.H.O advice regarding food safety.

 

Now with higher numbers daily of those infected with Covid-19 we want to keep you safe and would much rather deliver to you than you coming out to pick up from us. With fish and chips on Fridays this is logistically difficult so we will stagger times to avoid a gathering outside the pub!

Beer battered haddock, fat chips (or fries), crushed minted peas £12 a portion

Cauliflower and Blue cheese soup, crusty bread £5 single portion

 

Holt estate Lamb Stew, crusty bread. 7.50 a portion

(Holt estate lamb, celery, carrot, potato, onion, garlic, lamb stock)

 

Fish pie, topped with mash served with peas 6.50 a portion £12 for 2

(trout, smoked haddock, white wine sauce, buttery mash)

 

Steak and Red wine shortcrust pie, mash and greens £7 single or £22 for 4

(grass fed chuck steak, onions, beef stock, red wine, butter shortcrust)

 

Vegan spanish roasted red pepper and butterbean stew. Crusty bread £10 for 2

(tomatoes, red pepper, butterbeans, carrot, celery, potato, veg stock, hot smoked paprika)

 Add Greenfields pork to the above £12

 

Butter chicken curry, long grain rice 6.50 a portion
